Job summary

Jora New Zealand in Ohoka, Canterbury, is kicking off a major subdivision with a second stage to follow and a long pipeline of work. This Civil Machine Operator role is hands-on, operating a 13-tonne loader, rollers, and excavators up to 20 tonnes.

Essential: current WTR endorsement and Site Safe; proven civil plant experience; Class 1 licence with reliable transport; ability to pass pre-employment drug test and police check. Ongoing work and regular overtime with well-maintained gear.

Qualifications

• Current WTR endorsement and Site Safe certification are essential.
• Proven experience operating civil plant on subdivision sites.
• Class 1 licence with reliable transport to Ohoka; ability to pass drug test and police check.

Responsibilities

• Operate 13-tonne loader, rollers, and excavators up to 20 tonnes.
• Maintain safety and compliance on site.
• Support long-term subdivision project with reliable performance.

Civil Machine Operator

Located in Ohoka, Canterbury | Long-Term Project | $28~$35 (Experience Dependant)

About the role

A major new subdivision is kicking off in Ohoka, with a second stage expected to follow directly across the road. If both stages run as planned, there's potential for along pipeline of continuous work. That's a rare thing in civil, and we're after operators who want to settle into a long run rather than chase the next short job.

This is an operating role first and foremost, so if you've got seat time and the tickets to back it up, we want to hear from you.

The gear

• 13-tonne loader
• Single and twin drum rollers
• Excavators up to 20-tonne

You don't need to have run all of it, but the more boxes you tick, the better the rate.

What you'll need

• Current WTR endorsement (essential)
• Site Safe (essential)
• Proven experience operating civil plant
• Previous subdivision experience is a big advantage
• Class 1 licence and reliable transport to Ohoka
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check
