Job summary

Unite Recruit is seeking Civil Machine Operators with proven experience in drainage, earthworks, and road construction. Roles involve operating excavators, loaders, rollers, graders, and dump trucks across civil sites in New Zealand.

Pay rate varies by experience and machine, with ongoing opportunities and a chance to be employed by the client. Applicants must hold a New Zealand driver licence (classes 1/2/4/5 as required), WTR endorsements, and at least 2 years’ experience operating civil

Qualifications

• Current NZ Driver Licence (Class 1/2/4/5)
• WTR Endorsements
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating civil construction machinery
• Experience in drainage, earthworks, or road construction preferred
• Experienced using GPS systems
• Final trim or bulk experience
• Strong understanding of safe operating procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
• Willingness to pass pre-employment drug test and random tests thereafter
• Own reliable transport to get to and from work

Successful applicants will have:

• A current New Zealand Class 1,2,4 or 5 Driver Licence (depending on machinery and transport requirements)
• WTR Endorsements
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating civil construction machinery
• Experience in drainage, earthworks, or road construction preferred
• Experienced using Gps systems
• Final trim or Bulk experience
• Strong understanding of safe operating procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
