Job summary

Unite Recruit is seeking Civil Machine Operators in New Zealand, with proven experience operating excavators, loaders, rollers, graders and dump trucks around drainage, earthworks, or road construction. Pay rate varies with experience and machine.

Successful applicants will hold a NZ class 1 license (or higher), WTR endorsements, and at least 2 years of civil construction machinery experience, with strong safety, communication, and time-management skills.

Qualifications

• Current NZ Class 1 licence (or above) required.
• WTR endorsements.
• Minimum 2+ years' experience operating civil construction machinery.
• Experience in drainage, earthworks, or road construction preferred.
• Experience using GPS systems.
• Final trim or bulk experience.
• Strong understanding of safety operating procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, rollers, graders and dump trucks.
• Work around drainage, earthworks and road construction sites.
• Follow site safety procedures and SOPs.
• Undertake tasks independently or as part of a crew.
• Communicate clearly and manage time effectively.

• A current New Zealand Class 1 or above Driver Licence (depending on machinery and transport requirements)
• WTR Endorsements
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience operating civil construction machinery
• Experience in drainage, earthworks, or road construction preferred
• Experienced using Gps systems
• Final trim or Bulk experience
• Strong understanding of safe operating procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and time management skills
