Job summary

Franklin Smith Group in Christchurch, South Island, is seeking motivated Civil Labourers to join multiple projects across the city. You’ll work on a range of civil sites—from roadworks to drainage and site prep—with opportunities to learn new skills every day.

We offer competitive hourly rates, full training with no experience required, and ongoing work with well-established civil companies. You’ll gain hands-on experience with basic power tools and site equipment on site.

Qualifications

• Reliable, hard-working and physically fit individuals are required.
• Must hold a Restricted Licence (or higher) and have your own reliable transport.
• Willingness to learn and work outdoors in all weather and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work on civil sites across Christchurch, including roadworks, drainage and site prep.
• Perform tasks with basic power and hand tools as directed by supervisors.
• Follow safety protocols and site rules to ensure a safe work environment.
• Learn and assist on varied civil tasks across projects.
