Job summary

Our client in Canterbury is seeking an intermediate design engineer to support the Senior Team Lead. The role focuses on pure design, modeling, and related reporting with potential to expand into post-engineering approval tasks over time.

The position involves owning land development projects from concept to detailed design, including RFIs and associated reporting, with opportunities to progress into site observations and tendering in the future.

Qualifications

• BE or BTech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years NZ-based experience in civil design (land development or subdivision).
• Strong proficiency with Civil 3D and solid technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil design for land development and small-scale subdivisions using Civil 3D.
• Run projects from concept through detailed design stages independently.
• Prepare technical engineering reports, RFIs, and permit applications.
