Job summary

Downer Group in Auckland is seeking a Civil Project Delivery professional to support delivery of road, infrastructure, and civil construction contracts.

Reporting to the Construction Operations Manager – Central Otago, you will help plan, tender, execute and manage projects to safety, time and budget.

This role offers exposure to maintenance, renewals, surfacing and capital works while collaborating with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Proven experience in contract or project delivery within civil construction, roading, or Three Waters.
• Strong planning, programming, and organisational skills.
• Solid financial acumen including cost control, forecasting, and WIP management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develop project methodologies, budgets and programmes.
• Assist in contract management to meet client expectations.
• Carry out site assessments and support traffic planning.
• Build strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
• Work with supervisors to optimise productivity and control costs.
• Promote a Zero Harm safety culture on site.
