Job summary

Hilton Haulage in Christchurch (Hornby depot) is seeking experienced Class 5 Drivers for bulk transport. You’ll operate a 2023 Mitsubishi Fuso Bathtub Bulk Unit on routes between Christchurch and Timaru, hauling stockfeed and fertiliser, with flexible day or night shifts and some weekend work.

We offer guaranteed hours for permanent staff, health insurance after 12 months, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Class 5 Licence (or equivalent) with 3 years of experience.
• W, T, R endorsements required.
• Loader experience preferred, but not essential.
• Previous bulk transport experience preferred.
• Flexible and reliable with a proactive approach and a commitment to health and safety.
• Comfortable using/learning new transport related technology.
• A passion for teamwork and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bulk transport unit between Christchurch and Timaru.
• Work with a 2023 Mitsubishi Fuso Bathtub Bulk Unit and ensure vehicle maintenance and safety.
• Be willing to stay away occasionally and work day/night shifts, including weekends when required.
• Demonstrate good habits around vehicle care and presentation, and share a truck when needed.
• Maintain safety, maintenance, and high standards for customers and suppliers.

What the role looks like:

We’re lookingfor experienced Class 5 Drivers to join our top-performing bulk team based outof Hornby, Christchurch.

You’ll be operating a high-quality 2023 Mitsubishi Fuso Bathtub Bulk Unit predominantly operating between Chch and Timaru and carting a variety of bulk loadsprimarilystockfeed and fertiliser etc.

You must be willing to stay away occasionally when required & must be happy to do either dayshift or nightshift at times when required & also some weekend work when required due to seasonal requirements of the business.

Driver’s must demonstrate good habits aroundvehicle care and presentation and be comfortable sharing a truck in someinstances. Flexibility is required to suit business and seasonal needs.

Your attention to safety, maintenance, andvehicle operation will reflect the high standards our loyal customers andsuppliers expect.

Work pattern:

Preferably full time permanent (typically Mon-Fri with the occasional weekend asand when required) or on the books as a casual available as required and agreed.

• Averageshift: 10-12 hours
• (guaranteedminimum 80 hours per fortnight for permanent employees)

What you bring to the table:
