Higgins is seeking an experienced Class 5 Driver to support delivery across our Christchurch projects. The role focuses on safe transport of materials and equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and professionalism.

The position is permanent, full-time with guaranteed 40 hours per week, occasional Saturday work and potential night shifts to meet project needs. Training and development opportunities are available within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Full Class 5 Driver Licence is essential.
• Strong understanding of transport and safety regulations.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and night shifts when required.
• Civil construction experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 5 vehicles in accordance with road transport regulations.
• Transport materials, aggregates, equipment, and machinery to project sites.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Accurately complete logbooks and transport documentation.
• Assist with loading and unloading where required.
• Maintain a high standard of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Work closely with site teams and supervisors to meet project requirements.

Are you an experienced Class 5 Driver looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a reliable, safety-focused professional to join our Christchurch team and support the delivery of key construction and infrastructure projects across the region.

About the Role

As a Class 5 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, plant, and equipment to and from project sites. You will play a vital role in supporting construction operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

This role is primarily Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is required as occasional Saturday work and night shifts may be necessary to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
