Job summary

Woolworths New Zealand is hiring a Checkout Operator to join our New Zealand team.

You will provide face-to-face customer service at tills, handle cash and EFTPOS payments, and support customers with product knowledge. You’ll also ensure responsible sale of age-restricted goods and assist customers at self-checkouts. Join a diverse, energetic team and help deliver great everyday shopping experiences.

Responsibilities

• Face to face customer service at checkouts
• Manage cash and EFTPOS payments
• Help our customers by being knowledgeable about our products and services in our store
• Help us stick to the rules around the sale of age restricted goods, such as tobacco and alcohol
• Assist customers through our self-service checkouts
• Help us make customer first decisions aligned to our processes and systems
• Work well within our team and communicate effectively
• A willingness to work on your feet for the duration of your shift
• A friendly smile and welcoming attitude
