Job summary

Mapua Four Square is seeking a friendly Checkout Superstar to be the welcoming face of our store. You will deliver excellent customer service, scan and pack items, and help keep the front end neat and efficient.

Join a close-knit team in Mapua, with opportunities to learn and grow. Experience in retail or hospitality is valued, and familiarity with Lotto and liquor compliance is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in retail or hospitality.

• Reliability, punctuality and willingness to work flexible hours.

Your Role

As our Checkout Superstar, you'll be the friendly face that makes every customer's visit a great one. Your day will include:

• Delivering outstanding customer service and building genuine connections with our customers.
• Scanning, packing, and multitasking with efficiency and a smile.
• Keeping the checkout area tidy, stocked, and looking amazing.
• Supporting your team with great communication and teamwork.
• Upholding compliance with Foodstuffs' Liquor Policy and Lotto requirements.
• Taking pride in store presentation and helping keep the front end running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

We're after someone who's:

• Energised by delivering amazing customer experiences and loves being part of a supportive, close-knit team.
• Friendly, confident, and comfortable engaging with people from all walks of life.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and proud of doing things properly.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Experienced in supermarkets, retail or hospitality (ideal, but not essential).
• Familiar with Lotto sales or liquor compliance (bonus points!).
• Over 18 years of age (due to age-restricted sales).

Most importantly, you've got a can-do attitude, initiative, and the drive to make every customer's day a little better.
