Job summary

Foodstuffs NZ’s Mapua Four Square store is seeking a friendly Checkout Superstar to join our team. You’ll deliver excellent customer service, scan and bag items, and help keep the checkout area neat with a positive attitude.

Prior experience in supermarkets, retail or hospitality is ideal but not essential, and you should be over 18 due to age-restricted sales. Enjoy permanent part-time hours across Thursday to Monday, with a supportive team, staff discounts, and a local store in Mapua Village.

• Able to engage with diverse customers and uphold a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Detail-oriented and reliable; takes pride in store presentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service at the checkout.
• Scan, pack, and multitask efficiently with a smile.
• Keep the checkout area tidy and well stocked.
• Support the team with clear communication and teamwork.
• Follow Liquor Policy and Lotto compliance where required.
• Contribute to a well-presented front end and smooth store operation.
