Job summary

Momentum Consulting Group seeks an experienced Change Practice Lead to establish, lead and continuously improve change management capability within a large, complex organisation. This senior role combines practice leadership, portfolio oversight, capability development and hands-on delivery to ensure readiness and adoption of new ways of working.

You will own the Change Practice and Centre of Excellence, developing frameworks, standards, tools and ways of working that support effective change

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience across change management, transformation or delivery enablement.
• Experience establishing or uplifting a Change Practice, Community of Practice or Centre of Excellence.
• Experience working with senior executives to shape change strategy and adoption.

• Establishing and developing the Change Practice and Centre of Excellence.

We’re looking for an experienced Change Practice Lead to establish, lead and continuously improve change management capability within a large, complex organisation.

This is a senior role combining change practice leadership, portfolio-­level oversight, capability development and hands-­on change delivery. You’ll define what great change looks like, build consistency across the portfolio and help ensure people are ready and able to successfully adopt new ways of working.

About The Role

You’ll take ownership of the Change Practice and Centre of Excellence, developing the frameworks, standards, tools and ways of working that support effective change across a broad portfolio of digital and transformation initiatives.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders, sponsors and delivery teams to ensure change impacts, readiness, adoption risks and benefits are considered from the outset and integrated into delivery planning.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Establishing and developing the Change Practice and Centre of Excellence.
• Defining change standards, frameworks, templates, playbooks and ways of working.
• Building consistency across change impact assessment, stakeholder engagement, business readiness and adoption planning.
• Providing an enterprise view of cumulative change impacts, dependencies, readiness and adoption risk.
• Coaching and mentoring Change Managers and other change practitioners.
• Partnering with portfolio and delivery leaders to embed change into planning, governance and decision-­making.
• Supporting benefits realisation through effective adoption and sustainment planning.
• Building a strong change community that encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
• Turning lessons learnt into practical improvements across the change practice.
• Personally leading change activities across selected complex or high-­impact transformation initiatives.

About you

You’ll be an experienced change leader who has moved beyond delivering change on individual projects and can demonstrate experience building or significantly uplifting change capability at a broader organisational level.

Ideally, You’ll Bring

• 10+ years’ experience across change management, transformation or delivery enablement.
• Proven experience establishing or significantly uplifting a Change Practice, Community of Practice or Centre of Excellence.
• Strong experience working across complex digital, technology or business transformation environments.
• Experience working with senior executives, sponsors and business leaders to shape change strategy, readiness and adoption.
• The ability to identify and communicate cumulative change impacts across multiple initiatives.
• Strong coaching and mentoring capability, with experience developing change practitioners.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, facilitation and negotiation skills.
• Experience across both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
• Experience with adoption measurement, benefits realisation and operational readiness.
• A pragmatic approach - able to establish consistency without introducing unnecessary process or overhead.

Relevant change management qualifications or certifications such as Prosci/ADKAR, CCMP or Agile Change would be advantageous.
