NZ Playcentre Federation is seeking a Centre Coordinator for 10 hours per week, Tue and Thu 9:00am–2:30pm, starting 12 October 2026. This permanent position runs during term time, focusing on building adult capability and confidence to lead sessions within a whānau-led Playcentre environment.
You will support centre whānau with curriculum guidance, health and safety, and Te Whāriki alignment, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for tamariki.

Working in collaboration with centre whānau and other centre support staff, the Centre Coordinator focuses on building adult capability and confidence. This enables adults to progressively take greater leadership in sessions and centre responsibilities, supporting a whānau-led environment.
As the Person Responsible on session, this role provides high quality support and pedagogical guidance to Playcentre whānau. The Centre Coordinator ensures sessions and programmes reflect Playcentre Philosophy and enriches children’s learning and development.
