Brightwater Playcentre is seeking a Part-time Centre Coordinator for 8.5 hours per week, starting 12 October 2026. The role operates on Tuesdays 9.30am–2.30pm and is permanent during term time. The coordinator collaborates with centre whānau to build adult capability and deliver child-led, Playcentre philosophy aligned sessions.
The role focuses on pedagogy, curriculum support and safety, ensuring Te Whānui o Waitangi principles are reflected in daily practice.

About the role
Working in collaboration with centre whānau and other centre support staff, the Centre Coordinator focuses on building adult capability and confidence.
As the Person Responsible on session, this role provides high quality support and pedagogical guidance to Playcentre whānau. The Centre Coordinator ensures sessions and programmes reflect Playcentre Philosophy and enriches children's learning and development.
