Job summary

Citycare Water in Auckland is seeking an experienced CCTV Operator to join our team. You will operate CCTV equipment on stormwater networks, survey drainage routes, and contribute to accurate inspection plans and maps.

You’ll need proven CCTV experience, familiarity with the NZ Pipe Inspection Manual, and a full Class 1 license. We value safety, quality, and teamwork, with training and a supportive, diverse workplace. Pre-employment checks apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in CCTV activities and asset investigation.
• Understanding of the NZ Pipe Inspection Manual.
• Experience using surveying equipment, including tractor and push cameras.
• Sound knowledge of plant and equipment for stormwater drainage.
• Traffic Controller Level 1 would be advantageous.
• Focus on quality assurance and health and safety.
• A full Class 1 license is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate CCTV equipment, including tractor and push cameras.
• Survey and investigate stormwater drainage networks.
• Prepare, edit and update drainage inspections plans and maps.
• Interpret stormwater plans and technical information.
• Identify faults and support effective problem-solving across the network.
• Assist with clearing blockages when required.
• Review CCTV survey logs and extract relevant information.
• Use technology and your technical judgment to investigate and resolve issues.
