Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Catering Assistant to join the Queenstown team. This part-time role supports catering staff with food prep, serving guests, and keeping the event space and kitchen clean and organized for smooth events.

You'll work with a friendly team, enjoy flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and gain hands-on training in hospitality. Prior experience is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are most important.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Catering Assistant or in customer service is advantageous.
• Able to work as part of a fast-paced team.
• Friendly, customer-focused demeanor and good communication.
• Willingness to learn and follow hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and breakdown of catering equipment and service areas.
• Serve food and beverages to guests courteously.
• Help with basic food preparation, garnishing and portioning.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in serving areas and kitchen.
• Respond promptly to guest requests to ensure a positive dining experience.
