Job summary

Cater Plus is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant for the Rangiura Rest Home kitchen in Putāruru. This part-time role involves helping with food preparation, dining setup, meal service, and kitchen hygiene.

Shifts are 2.30pm–9.00pm, 24 hours per week across a 7‑day roster. Training is provided; NZ work eligibility must be shown. A supportive team environment helps residents enjoy meals and daily life.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support chefs with food preparation and baking.
• Set up dining areas, trolleys, and meal service.
• Assist with serving meals to residents.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene.
• Wash dishes and assist with kitchen clean-down.
• Provide service in the onsite café when required.
• Work safely in a commercial kitchen environment.
• Assist with meal service to residents, including room service when required.
• Help close and clean the kitchen at the end of the day.
