Job summary

St John of God Hauora Trust in Wellington and Upper Hutt seeks caring support workers to help residents live engaging lives in our Community Home. You will follow care plans, organise activities, and work with the Rehabilitation Team to achieve well-being and community connections.

The role supports ongoing NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualification progression, with supervisory guidance from the Workforce Development team. Applications welcome from eligible NZ residents or visa holders.

Qualifications

• Caregiving experience (2+ years preferable).
• Existing Work Visa with 2 New Zealand work referees.
• Current First Aid Qualification.
• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing at any level.
• Experience supporting people with conditions like Huntington's disease, MS, MND, CP, stroke or brain injuries.
• NZ Full Drivers' License and willingness to drive mobility passenger van.
