Skids in Wellington is seeking a Casual Programme Assistant to welcome and supervise tamariki during afternoon sessions. Shifts run 2.30pm–6.00pm with potential holiday hours; this reliever role offers flexibility, a supportive team, and a chance to make each session memorable for children.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about working with kids, reliable, and able to travel to Kaiapoisite(s). A positive attitude and energy will help you contribute to a safe, fun environment.

Job Description

As a Casual Programme Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the mornings and/or afternoons unforgettable for children! You’ll be working mainly in the afternoons.

• Afternoon/ After School shifts runs between 2.30pm–6.00pm. Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary.
• Potential school holiday programmes hours available (between 7am - 6pm).

This is a reliever role, so you’ll be rostered on an “as required” basis – perfect if you’re after flexibility while still making a big impact.

• Supervising and supporting Tamariki in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keeping our spaces tidy, clean, and welcoming for children
• Helping your Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions that keep kids buzzing
