Job summary

sKids in Queenstown is seeking a Casual Programme Assistant to support Tamariki in afternoon sessions at multiple sites. You’ll supervise activities, keep spaces tidy, and help the Programme Manager run energetic, engaging sessions.

This reliever role offers flexible rostering with shifts from 2:30pm to 6:00pm and potential school holiday hours. No weekend work, you’ll make a real impact while staying hands-on with the children.

Qualifications

• Have the right to work in New Zealand (valid visa or citizenship).
• Can get to Queenstown, Remarkables and Shotover sites with reliable transport.
• Are enthusiastic about working with kids – from babysitting to coaching to volunteering, any experience counts!
• Are reliable, energetic, and keen to make every session special.

Job Description

As a Casual Programme Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the mornings and/or afternoons unforgettable for children! You’ll be working mainly in the afternoons.

• Afternoon/ After School shifts runs between 2.30pm–6.00pm. Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary.
• Potential school holiday programmes hours available (between 7am - 6pm).

This is a reliever role, so you’ll be rostered on an “as required” basis – perfect if you’re after flexibility while still making a big impact.
