Job summary

sKids New Zealand is a flexible, customer‑facing role. We’re seeking a Casual Programme Assistant to support Tamariki in the afternoons, mainly 2.30pm–6.00pm, with potential hours during school holidays.

You’ll supervise activities, keep spaces tidy, and assist the Programme Manager to run energetic sessions while monitoring behaviour, wellbeing, and safety. This reliever role offers no weekend work and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Right to work in New Zealand (visa or citizenship)
• Access/Ohope site with reliable transport
• Experience with kids welcome (babysitting, coaching, volunteering)
• Reliable, energetic, keen to make each session special

Job Description

As a Casual Programme Assistant, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the mornings and/or afternoons unforgettable for children! You’ll be working mainly in the afternoons.

• Afternoon/ After School shifts runs between 2.30pm–6.00pm.Availability from 2.30pm is essential, though finish times may vary.
• Potential school holiday programmes hours available (between 7am - 6pm).

This is a reliever role, so you’ll be rostered on an “as required” basis – perfect if you’re after flexibility while still making a big impact.
