Job summary

SGS is seeking a casual Plant and Terminal Operator for our Dunedin team. The role includes assisting with bunker operations, discharging fuel from tankers, and other duties as needed, with manual handling up to 25 kg and outdoor work in all weather.

The position requires flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays, plus a focus on health and safety and the ability to follow procedures. NZ driving license and eligibility to work in NZ are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage time and work in busy environments.
• Good verbal communication and ability to maintain written records.
• Must hold a current and unrestricted New Zealand Driver’s License.
• Must be a NZ Citizen/Resident or hold a valid work visa.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with bunker operations for vessels when at the Port.
• Discharging of fuel from tankers into Oil Industry Terminal tanks.
• Other duties may be offered with right skills and positive approach.
• Involves manual handling up to 25 kg and working outside in all weather conditions.
• Vessels can arrive at any time; flexibility is required.
