Job summary

SGS New Zealand is seeking responsible casual Plant and Terminal Operators in New Plymouth to support the safe and efficient movement of bulk liquids through our terminal operations.

You will load and unload a wide range of liquids, follow procedures, complete records, and assist with other terminal activities. The role requires working day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts, in all weather conditions, with safety at the forefront.

SGS New Zealand is seeking responsible, reliable, and safety-focused individuals to join our New Plymouth team as Casual Plant and Terminal Operators.

This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours, making it ideal for people who value flexibility and are available to work across a variety of shifts.

As a Plant and Terminal Operator, you will play an important role in supporting the safe and efficient movement of bulk liquid products through our terminal operations.

What will you be doing?

• Loading and unloading a wide range of bulk liquids, including petroleum fuels, diesel, chemicals, tallow, LPG, bitumen, condensate, and crude oil vessels.
• Following established operating procedures and strict health and safety requirements.
• Completing operational documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting other terminal activities as required.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions and undertaking manual handling activities.

As we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, flexibility is essential. You must be available to work day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• A current full New Zealand driver's licence.
• The ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing, and background checks
• Current forklift certification would be a bonus.
