Job Description

SGS New Zealand is seeking responsible, reliable, and safety-focused individuals to join our New Plymouth team as Casual Plant and Terminal Operators.

This is a casual position with no guaranteed hours, making it ideal for people who value flexibility and are available to work across a variety of shifts.

As a Plant and Terminal Operator, you will play an important role in supporting the safe and efficient movement of bulk liquid products through our terminal operations.

What will you be doing?

• Loading and unloading a wide range of bulk liquids, including petroleum fuels, diesel, chemicals, tallow, LPG, bitumen, condensate, and crude oil vessels.
• Following established operating procedures and strict health and safety requirements.
• Completing operational documentation and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting other terminal activities as required.
• Working outdoors in all weather conditions and undertaking manual handling activities.

As we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, flexibility is essential. You must be available to work day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• The physical fitness required for manual work and outdoor conditions.
• A current full New Zealand driver's licence.
• The ability to pass pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing, and background checks
• Current forklift certification would be a bonus.
