Job summary

Wellington Zoo Trust in Wellington Central invites two Casual Educators – Holiday Programme to join our Education team. You will be at the front line delivering the Zoo’s school holiday programme, creating a fun and meaningful experience for children and families.

You should love working with kids, enjoy being part of an inclusive team, have prior experience in a visitor attraction or education setting, and be passionate about environmental education and conservation.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in education or visitor settings.
• Availability to work during school holiday periods.
• Interest in environmental education and conservation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Zoo’s school holiday programme to participants.
• Create a fun, engaging and inclusive learning experience.
• Provide a welcoming and safe environment for visitors.
• Support teamwork within the Education team.
• Occasional administrative tasks and safety compliance.
