Job summary

Queenstown Lakes District Council invites a casual staff member to join our Holiday Programme team. You will provide superior service and ongoing support to ensure participants have a safe, enjoyable experience in our facilities.

You’ll supervise groups of children, assist with activities and outings, greet families, and maintain high safety and customer service standards across the centre, including aquatic facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in supervisory roles.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Customer-focused, friendly, and able to engage with diverse groups.
• Ability to adapt to a busy, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with use of facilities and equipment to ensure safety.
• Supervise groups of children and maintain safety at all times.
• Create, facilitate and manage activities, games and outings.
• Provide friendly, professional service to children and parents.
• Respond quickly to emergencies and maintain high standards of safety.
