Job summary

Tradestaff New Zealand is seeking an experienced Carpenter for Wanaka with a focus on residential projects and opportunities in upcoming commercial builds. You’ll perform framing, cladding and first-to-second fix carpentry, reading plans and ensuring accuracy to specifications on site.

Join a team delivering high workmanship across stages of construction, with support from Tradestaff Queenstown for ongoing opportunities and site coordination.

Qualifications

• BCITO Level 4 Carpentry qualification required.
• Residential construction experience.
• Commercial experience is an advantage.
• Own carpentry tools.
• Reliable transport.
• Strong workmanship and good site awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.

Responsibilities

• Framing, cladding, first and second fix carpentry.
• Finishing and general carpentry across residential builds.
• Reading plans and working accurately to specifications.
• Working across different stages of construction.
• Getting involved in upcoming commercial projects.
• Working independently and alongside other trades on site.
