Job summary

Premier Construction Group Limited is seeking a Site Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team at the Oamaru, Otago site. You will drive maintenance, asset management and continuous improvement to maximise plant efficiency.

Experience in manufacturing, food processing and leadership is essential; strong communication with production and safety emphasis is required. This is a full-time on-site role based in Oamaru, NZ.

Qualifications

• Min. 10 yrs maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Min. 5 yrs experience in food processing site.
• Min. 3 years in a maintenance leadership role.
• Proficient with CMMS systems & be computer savvy.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership & development to the engineering team.

• Be instrumental in planning, cost control & long-term forecasting.

Site Engineering Manager for the groups' 2nd biggest site, Pukeuri in Oamaru.

Permanent, role for proven engineering leader OAMARU, OTAGO - SITE ENGINEERING MANAGER

Platinum Engineering are excited to be partnering again with this huge name in red meat processing as we search for their next Engineering Manager.

As one of the world's largest red meat processors and exporters Oamaru is their 2nd largest of all the sites.

This is pivotal role, reporting directly into the Site Manager. It is a multi-species site with a large, permanent internal engineering team. Your leadership & years of experience will ensure the plant is running to it best efficiencies.

THE ROLE

• Provide technical leadership & development to the engineering team

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE/ BE

• Min. 10 yrs maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing
• Min. 5 yrs experience in food processing site
• Min. 3 years in a maintenance leadership role
• Proficient with CMMS systems & be computer savvy
• Proven wins in asset management, maintenance planning & reliability
• Clear, concise communication across multiple departments
• No-nonsense attitude to H&S for all
• Budgetary & project management experience
• Immediate NZ work Rights: Residency, Citizen or Open Work Visa
