Job summary

Summerset Holdings in Wellington region is seeking two experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team in Upper Hutt. You will greet clients, assess their condition, and perform Traditional Thai Massage along with Aromatherapy, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Touch reflexology, Thai herbal compress, hot stone, pregnancy and facial massage.

You will maintain a clean, safe treatment space and manage bookings.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following: 2+ years experience in an authentic Thai massage business, NZ Register Diploma level or higher (overseas quals comparable), or National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare clients prior to treatments, including assessing client condition and case history.
• Perform a range of massage modalities including Traditional Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Foot Reflexology, Thai Herbal Compress, Hot Stone, Pregnancy, and Facial Massage.
• Administer treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension.
• Provide ongoing treatment recommendations and advise clients on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms and equipment.
• Perform reception duties including managing client bookings and scheduling appointments.
• Work five to six days per week with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and maximum of 48 hours per week.
• This is a full-time, permanent position.

• A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

• Administer treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension
• Provide ongoing treatment recommendations and advise clients on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques to improve overall well-being
• Maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms, equipment, and products in accordance with health and safety standards
• Perform reception duties including managing client bookings and scheduling appointments
• Perform other related tasks as required
• This is a full-time, permanent position.
• Your hourly wage will be $25–$40, depending on your skills and experience, and you will be paid weekly.
• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid in accordance with the law.

Your place of work will be 519A High Street, Lower Hutt.

You will work according to a roster, five to six days per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 48 hours per week.
