Summerset Retirement Villages seeks a Thai Massage Therapist for a full‑time role in Upper Hutt. You will greet clients, assess conditions and perform a range of massage modalities, including Traditional Thai Massage, to promote relaxation and wellbeing.

You will manage bookings, maintain room hygiene, and follow safety standards. Applicants should have 2+ years experience or NZ qualification, and a valid NZ work entitlement. Rostered shifts, weekly pay, sick leave and holiday pay apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in authentic Thai massage or equivalent qualification.
• NZ Register Diploma level or higher, or overseas qualification recognised to NZ standard.
• National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand.

Responsabilités

• Greet and prepare clients prior to treatments, including assessing condition and case history.
• Perform Traditional Thai Massage and related modalities such as Aromatherapy, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, and Foot Reflexology.
• Administer treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension.
• Provide treatment recommendations and guidance on stretching and relaxation techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms, equipment and products per health and safety standards.
• Perform reception duties including managing client bookings and scheduling.
• Rostered five to six days per week with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 48 hours per week.

We are looking for two experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR
• A related qualification (at NZ Register Diploma level or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR
• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

• Greet and prepare clients prior to treatments, including assessing client physical condition and case history
• Perform a range of therapeutic massage modalities including Traditional Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Foot Reflexology, Thai Herbal Compress, Hot Stone, Pregnancy, and Facial Massage
• Administer treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension
• Provide ongoing treatment recommendations and advise clients on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques to improve overall well-being
• Maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms, equipment, and products in accordance with health and safety standards
• Perform reception duties including managing client bookings and scheduling appointments
• Perform other related tasks as required
• This is a full-time, permanent position.
• Your hourly wage will be $25-$40, depending on your skills and experience, and you will be paid weekly.
• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid in accordance with the law.
• Your place of work will be 519A High Street, Lower Hutt.
• You will work according to a roster, five to six days per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 48 hours per week.
