Job summary

Ministry Of Education in Wellington seeks two experienced Thai Massage Therapists to join our team. You will greet clients, assess conditions, and perform a wide range of massage modalities to promote relaxation and improve circulation.

Responsibilities include treatment planning, client education on stretches, and maintaining hygiene. You will handle bookings, work five to six days per week with 30–48 hours, and receive weekly wages. NZ citizenship/residency or valid work visa is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in an authentic Thai Massage business
• NZ Register Diploma level or higher or comparable overseas qualification
• NSST Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare clients prior to treatments and assess client history
• Perform Traditional Thai Massage and related modalities (Aromatherapy, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Foot Reflexology, Thai Herbal Compress, Hot Stone, Pregnancy, Facial Massage)
• Administer treatments to promote relaxation and relieve muscle tension
• Provide treatment recommendations and advise on stretches and relaxation techniques
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms and equipment
• Perform reception duties including bookings and scheduling
• Work according to roster with 30–48 hours per week, five to six days
• This is a full-time, permanent position

• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

• Greet and prepare clients prior to treatments, including assessing client physical condition and case history
• Perform a range of therapeutic massage modalities including Traditional Thai Massage, Aromatherapy, Sports, Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Foot Reflexology, Thai Herbal Compress, Hot Stone, Pregnancy, and Facial Massage
• Administer treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve muscle tension
• Provide ongoing treatment recommendations and advise clients on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques to improve overall well-being
• Maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and hygiene of treatment rooms, equipment, and products in accordance with health and safety standards
• Perform reception duties including managing client bookings and scheduling appointments
• Perform other related tasks as required
• This is a full-time, permanent position.
• Your hourly wage will be $25–$40, depending on your skills and experience, and you will be paid weekly.
• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid in accordance with the law.
• Your place of work will be 519A High Street, Lower Hutt.
• You will work according to a roster, five to six days per week, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 48 hours per week.
