Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is hiring a Caregiver for our Waikanae Village. You will join a team dedicated to creating a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for residents, providing personal care and daily assistance.

The role involves delivering meals, assisting with hygiene, supporting care plans, and helping residents with activities. A roster of 4 days on, 2 days off across AM/PM shifts is expected. Empathy and patience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Empathetic, kind and patient approach to care.
• Ability to work a rotational roster (4 days on, 2 days off) across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aide with hygiene tasks and daily living activities.
• Support individual care plans, including walks and exercises.
• Assist with resident activities and recreation (e.g., puzzles, table tennis).

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our growing Waikanae Village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical Duties Include

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes


• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering


• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises


• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

The roster for this role is: 4 days on 2 days off AM/PM shifts.
