Job summary

Summerset Palms Village in Hawke's Bay is hiring a compassionate Caregiver to support residents with daily living, meals, hygiene and activity support.

You will work as part of a warm, patient team, following individualized care plans and a rotating 4-on/2-off roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts. Previous aged care experience is preferred, and opportunities for career progression and health benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitmentto a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts
• Ability to work a roster pattern of 4 days on and 2 days off

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset Palms Village,you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This position is rostered on a 4 days on, 2 days off pattern on AM and PM shifts, working between 60 - 80 hours per fortnight.
