Job summary

Summerset Prebbleton is opening a brand-new care centre and seeks a compassionate Caregiver to join the team. You will help provide personal care and assist residents with daily activities in a safe, warm environment.

Rotating shifts include mornings, afternoons, and nights with options for 2 on/4 off or 3 on/3 off, plus Saturday and Sunday work. On-site training occurs 18 January to 5 February 2027, with hours 8:00am–4:30pm during training.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Ability to work a 4 days on/2 days off pattern.

Summerset Prebbleton is preparing to open its brand-new care centre – a premium facility nestled in a picturesque, established village poised to become the heart of aged care in the region. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something special from the very beginning, where you’ll help deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a state-of-the-art environment.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Prebbleton Village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes


• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering


• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises


• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

You’ll need to be available for three weeks of paid, onsite training from 18 January to 5 February 2027, running Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, ahead of the Care Centre’s official opening.

We have part time opportunities available working on either a 2 on, 4 off or 3 on, 3 off rotating shift pattern. Additionally we have a fixed Saturday and Sunday shift available. We have opportunities across eithermorning (7:00am – 3:00pm), afternoon (3:00pm – 11:00pm), or night shifts (11:00pm – 7:00am).

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
