Job summary

Ryman Healthcare is hiring Caregivers at the Yvette Williams Retirement Village in Dunedin. You will provide compassionate care to residents, following care plans under a Registered Nurse.

A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate (or equivalent) is required, with relevant experience for Level 3. Typical hours start at 30 per week and pay ranges from $25.30 to $31.78 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience OR
• A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Performing care and personal needs assistance as detailed in the care plan and under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Observing and reporting immediately to the Registered Nurse or senior any change in a resident's status or behaviour
• Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times
• Demonstrating care for others by understanding their needs and providing help and support
• Documenting care provided to residents objectively and in a timely manner

About the Role

Ryman Healthcare has multiple Caregiver positions available to join our friendly team at Yvette Williams Retirement Village in Dunedin.

You must meet one of these requirements:

• A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience OR
• A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent
  

Naturally, you will have empathy for the elderly and be dedicated to making our village a wonderful place to live and work. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, which may include a weekend day and the wage will be $25.30 - $31.78 per hour depending on experience.
