Job summary

Summerset Mountain View Village in New Plymouth is seeking a caring Caregiver to join our team and support residents with daily living, meals, hygiene and mobility.

This on-site role involves delivering meals, assisting with personal care, and encouraging activity and engagement, with 60–80 hours per fortnight across Fri–Mon nights.

Qualifications

• 2+ years caregiving experience in an aged care environment.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene, such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises.
• Help with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc.

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Summerset Mountain View Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This position works between 60 - 80 hours per fortnight, Friday - Monday night shifts.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:
