Job summary

Summerset Mountain View Village is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to join the care team and support residents with daily living activities, meals, hygiene and social activities. You will work as part of a team to deliver compassionate, person-centred care in a warm village setting.

You will bring 2+ years of caregiving experience in aged care, strong communication skills, and a willingness to rotate across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Empathy, kindness and patience in daily care.
• 2+ years caregiving experience in an aged care environment.
• Strong verbal communication with ability to build relationships.
• Commitment to a rotational roster across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Aid with hygiene tasks such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plan requirements, walks and exercises.
• Support residents with activities like puzzles and table tennis.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Summerset Mountain View Village you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This position works between 60 - 80 hours per fortnight, Friday - Monday night shifts.

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people's lives.

You'll bring with you:

• 2+ years caregiving experience in an aged care environment
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
