Job summary

Summerset Holdings is seeking a compassionate Caregiver for our Casebrook village in Christchurch. You will join a team delivering personal care and supporting residents to enjoy daily life.

Roster Tue-Sat 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, 27.5 hours per week. This is a part-time fixed-term role ending 17 February 2027. Experience in aged care and NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3 preferred; empathy, patience and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and assist with mealtimes.
• Support hygiene such as showering.
• Assist with individual care plan activities, walks and exercises.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Casebrook villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a part-time and fixed term position ending on the 17th of February 2027. The roster is Tuesday to Saturday from 7.00 am to 1.00 pm, working 27.5 hours weekly.

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships
• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 3
