Job summary

Ryman Healthcare in Napier's Princess Alexandra Retirement Village is hiring multiple Caregiver roles to support residents with compassionate care. The positions require a minimum of 30 hours per week and may include weekend shifts, with wages between 25.30 and 31.78 NZD per hour depending on experience.

You should hold Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificates with relevant experience, and you'll work under a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality care, ensure safety and comfort,

Responsibilities

• Performing care and personal needs assistance under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Observing and reporting changes in a resident's status or behaviour promptly.
• Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times.
• Demonstrating care for others by understanding their needs and providing help and support.
• Documenting care provided to residents timely and objectively.

About the Role

Ryman Healthcare has multiple Caregiver positions available to join our friendly team at Princess Alexandra Retirement Village in Napier.

You must meet one of these requirements:

• A Level 3 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent and 3 years relevant experience OR
• A Level 4 Health and Wellbeing certificate or equivalent
  

Naturally, you will have empathy for the elderly and be dedicated to making our village a wonderful place to live and work. You will work a minimum of 30 hours per week, which may include a weekend day and the wage will be $25.30 - $31.78 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performing care and personal needs assistance as detailed in the care plan and under the direction of a Registered Nurse
• Observing and reporting immediately to the Registered Nurse or senior any change in a resident's status or behaviour
• Ensuring the safety, privacy, and comfort of residents at all times
• Demonstrating care for others by understanding their needs and providing help and support
• Documenting care provided to residents objectively and in a timely manner
