Job summary

Ryman Healthcare in Rangiora is seeking a Caregiver to join The Charles Upham Retirement Village on a fixed-term basis, covering parental leave from 04/10/2026 to 06/07/2027. The role runs 38 hours per week with Sunday to Tuesday shifts 07:30-13:00, Sunday-Monday 15:00-21:00 and Tuesday-Thursday 16:00-20:00.

You will develop lasting relationships with residents and their families, follow care plans, use the myRyman app, and work closely with colleagues to create a great team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care preferred, but not essential.
• NZ work rights required to apply.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with residents and families.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join Charles Upham Retirement Village, Rangiora (30 mins from Christchurch City) as a Caregiver. We have a Fixed Term, Full Time position available covering parental leave starting 04/10/2026 to 06/07/2027. You will be working Sunday - Tuesday 0730-1300, Sunday- Monday 1500-2100 and Tuesday -Thursday 1600-2000 (Total 38hours).

In this role you will:

• Develop lasting relationships with our residents and their families
• Follow our resident's individual care plans, providing care that would be good enough for your own mum, dad, nana or poppa
• Use the latest technology - including our own purpose-built care app myRyman
• Work closely with, and support your colleagues creating a great team environment

We'd love you to have experience working in Aged care, but that's not essential.
