Job summary

Ryman Healthcare is seeking a Caregiver at Charles Upham Retirement Village in Rangiora, 30 mins from Christchurch. This fixed-term, full-time role covers parental leave from 04/10/2026 to 06/07/2027, with shifts Sunday-Tuesday 0730-1300, Sunday-Monday 1500-2100, and Tue-Thu 1600-2000 (38 hours).

You will develop lasting relationships with residents and their families, follow individual care plans, use the myRyman care app, and work closely with colleagues to create a great team environment.

Qualifications

• Must show kindness in your DNA.

• Must have a reliable, friendly and professional style.
• Experience in aged care is preferred but not essential.
• Must have New Zealand work rights for this position.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join Charles Upham Retirement Village, Rangiora (30 mins from Christchurch City) as a Caregiver. We have a Fixed Term, Full Time position available coveringparental leave starting 04/10/2026 to 06/07/2027. You will be working Sunday - Tuesday 0730-1300, Sunday- Monday 1500-2100 and Tuesday -Thursday 1600-2000 (Total 38hours).

In this role you will:

• Develop lasting relationships with our residentsand their families
• Follow our resident's individual care plans, providing care that would be good enough for your own mum, dad, nana or poppa
• Use the latest technology - including our own purpose-built care app myRyman
• Work closely with, and support your colleaguescreating a great team environment
