Job summary

Summerset Holdings is seeking a casual Caregiver for Summerset at Karaka Village in Auckland. You will work as part of a team delivering personal care and assisting residents with daily living activities to foster a safe, healthy and enjoyable lifestyle.

Typical duties include meals, hygiene support, and helping with activities; flexibility for varying shifts, sometimes on short notice, is essential. Uniform provided and opportunities to progress your caregiver career and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged care or a similar role.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Commitment to being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver meals and help with mealtimes.
• Assist with hygiene, such as showering.
• Support individual care plan requirements, including walks and exercises.
• Help with activities, such as puzzles and table tennis.

Job Description:

As a Caregiver at our Summerset at Karaka Villageyou will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis

Qualifications:

You will naturally be empathetic, kind and patient, and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience in aged care or a similar role
