Job summary

Summerset in Papamoa is seeking a Caregiver to join a team delivering personal care and daily living support for residents. The role is varied and focuses on meals, hygiene, and supporting individual care plans, within a friendly village environment.

The position is casual and on an as-needed basis, with opportunities to engage residents in activities and social events, while maintaining high standards of care and compassion.

Qualifications

• Empathetic, kind and patient and thrive in a role where your compassion and care make a difference to people’s lives.
• You’ll bring with you: Experience in aged care or a similar role
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build lasting relationships

Job Description

As a Caregiver at our Papamoa village, you will work as part of a team that creates the safest, healthiest and most enjoyable lifestyle for our residents. This role is varied and centres around providing personal care and assistance to our resident’s daily lives.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering meals and helping with mealtimes
• Aiding with hygiene, such as showering
• Assisting with Individual care plan requirements, such as walks and exercises
• Helping with activities, such as puzzles, table tennis etc

This is a Casual role. Working on an as and when needed basis.

• Experience in aged care or a similar role

• Commitmentto being available for a variety of shifts, sometimes at short notice
