Job summary

Heritage Lifecare in Carterton (Wairarapa) is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join Roseneath Lifecare. This permanent full-time role offers 32 hours or more per week with AM, PM, night and weekend shifts, working with a warm, caring team to support residents with compassion.

You will have NZQA Health and Wellbeing qualification (or equivalent), dementia experience preferred, and strong communication and safety awareness to maintain high-quality care and resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing)
• Dementia experience is desirable.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
