Job summary

Roseneath Lifecare is a 45-bed care home in Carterton, Wairarapa, part of Heritage Lifecare. We are seeking a Caregiver with a compassionate, patient approach to support our residents across AM, PM, night and weekend shifts.

This permanent full-time role offers 32 hours or more per week in a warm, welcoming team. Ideal candidates will have NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (or equivalent), dementia experience desirable, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent qualification.
• Dementia experience is desirable.
• Good communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people with a friendly, positive attitude.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.

About this role

You will have a positive compassionate attitude, the ability to make others smile, and be great at working with people. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Minimum NZQA Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or an equivalent New Zealand or overseas qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Nursing, Diploma in Nursing)
• Dementia experience is desirable.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
