Job summary

Nelson Marlborough Health is seeking a Care Manager for the Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (iCAMHS) at Nelson Hospital. You will assess and deliver evidence-based interventions for young people with moderate to severe mental health needs and liaise with families, schools, GPs and iwi networks.

The role is permanent and full-time, 80 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. A background in allied health or nursing with iCAMHS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or allied health professional with post-registration mental health experience.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with infants, children or adolescents.
• Experience delivering assessments and evidence-based interventions.
• Ability to liaise with families, schools, primary care and tangata whenua networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and therapeutic interventions for infants, children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health needs.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and other services including Oranga Tamariki, schools and GPs.
• Support families and whanau to navigate care plans and services.
