Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a Care Manager for the Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (iCAMHS) in Nelson. The role involves conducting assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions for young people with moderate to severe mental health needs.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and liaise with community services, schools and primary care. Permanent, full-time, 80 hours per fortnight, 8:00am–4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in infant, child or adolescent mental health settings.
• Experience in assessments and evidence-based interventions.
• Able to work within a multidisciplinary team and liaise with community services.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and therapeutic interventions for infants, children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental health needs.
• Collaborate with other areas and agencies including Oranga Tamariki, schools, GPs and Māori networks.
• Engage with service users, families and support networks to build rapport and trust.
