Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā seeks a Cardiac Physiologist with 1–2 years experience to join a busy team across North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals. You will perform ECGs, Holter, ABU and Event monitoring, and assist with catheterisation procedures and remote monitoring.

The role requires SCT membership, CPRB registration and an Annual Practising Certificate, plus strong communication and meticulous documentation in a patient-centred environment.

Responsibilities

Cardiac Physiologist x2 FTE

Permanent, full time hours
Based across North Shore and Waitākere Hospitals

About the Role

The Cardiology Service at Health New Zealand Waitematā are seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with a minimum of 1-2 years experience to join our team. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be involved in procedures such as Holter scanning/reporting, cardiac catherisation procedures (Angio, PCI, right heart studies). We also fully support all cardiac device implants and manage cardiac device clinics and remote monitoring. Our team of Cardiac Technicians perform most of the following tests ECGs, Holter, ABU and Event monitor fitting, Exercise Treadmill Tests (ETTs) and Spirometry. However sometimes physiologists need to support these to. You will be responsible for performing the above tests to a very high standard of accuracy and maintaining good documentation.

The successful candidate will be expected to be a member of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT) and registered with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB), as well as hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
