Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā is seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with 1–2 years of experience to join our team. You will perform Holter scans, ECGs, and support device clinics, with involvement in Angio/PCI procedures as required. Membership with SCT and CPRB registration, plus APC, are preferred.

The role emphasizes high accuracy and collaborative care within a busy MDT. Applicants should show attention to detail, strong communication, and compassion for patients in a diverse community.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years experience as a Cardiac Physiologist or in a closely related role.
• Registration with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB) is required.
• Membership of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT) is preferred.

• Assist with cardiac catheterisation procedures and device clinics as needed.
• Maintain documentation and ensure data quality.

Job description

The Cardiology Service at Health New Zealand Waitematā are seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with a minimum of 1-2 years experience to join our team. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be involved in procedures such as Holter scanning/reporting, cardiac catheterisation procedures (Angio, PCI, right heart studies). We also fully support all cardiac device implants and manage cardiac device clinics and remote monitoring.

Our team of Cardiac Technicians perform most of the following tests ECGs, Holter, ABU and Event monitor fitting, Exercise Treadmill Tests (ETTs) and Spirometry. However sometimes physiologists need to support these to.

You will be responsible for performing the above tests to a very high standard of accuracy and maintaining good documentation.

The successful candidate will be expected to be a member of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT) and registered with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB), as well as hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate. Additionally, our ideal candidate will have:
