Job summary

Health New Zealand Waitematā is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist for the North Shore region. You will perform ECGs, Holter monitoring, ABU, Event monitoring and treadmill tests, and support cardiac device implants and remote monitoring.

You’ll join a multidisciplinary team focused on high-quality patient care and rigorous documentation. Applicants should be SCT members, CPRB registered, and hold an Annual Practising Certificate.

Qualifications

• Membership of The Society of Cardiopulmonary Technology (SCT).
• Registration with the Clinical Physiologists Registration Board (CPRB).
• Current Annual Practising Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs, Holter, ABU and Event monitor fitting to a high standard.
• Carry out Exercise Treadmill Tests (ETTs) and Spirometry.
• Maintain accurate documentation of tests and results.
• Support cardiac device implants and remote monitoring clinics.

About the Role

The Cardiology Service at Health New Zealand Waitematā are seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist with a minimum of 1-2 years experience to join our team. As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will be involved in procedures such as Holter scanning/reporting, cardiac catherisation procedures (Angio, PCI, right heart studies). We also fully support all cardiac device implants and manage cardiac device clinics and remote monitoring.

Our team of Cardiac Technicians perform most of the following tests ECGs, Holter, ABU and Event monitor fitting, Exercise Treadmill Tests (ETTs) and Spirometry. However sometimes physiologists need to support these to.

You will be responsible for performing the above tests to a very high standard of accuracy and maintaining good documentation.
